Bobrisky sentenced to 6 Months imprisonment without option of fine over Naira abuse

Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly know as Bobrisky has been sentenced to 6-month jail term by Justice A.O Awogboro of the Federal high court, Ikoyi,without the option of fine.

The judgement was handed on Friday 12th April,2024.

If you recall,on 5th of April, Bobrisky was arraigned and charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for abuse of the Naira note and money laundering.The Court however,dismissed the money laundering case but convicted him for naira abuse,after pleading guilty.He was ordered to be detained in EFCC's custody after the case was adjourned to 9th April but couldn't sit until Friday 12th April,due to the long Eid el Fitr holiday.
