The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa, has disclosed that the death of late rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad, was a result of mismanagement of the injury he sustained after a physical fight with his childhood friend, Ibrahim Owodunni aka Primeboy, in Ikorodu.
CP Owohunwa revealed this at a press briefing on the state of the investigation into the rapper’s death on Friday.
According to the Lagos CP, Mohbad and Primeboy had a physical fight at the end of the rapper’s last show in Ikorodu.
He disclosed that the injury sustained from the fight, however, was not properly managed, which later resulted in his untimely death.
“At the end of the show, Mohbad and Ibrahim were engaged in a violent fight, during which Mohbad was injured. The management of the injury subsequently resulted in his death. So he is being treated as a suspect.”
CP Owohunwa,further disclosed that the late rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad, vomited and developed goosebumps immediately after he was injected three times by an auxiliary nurse identified as Feyisayo Ogedemgbe.
Speaking at the state Command headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos, the Lagos CP revealed that no fewer than 26 witnesses, including Mohbad’s mother, father, wife, sister, and brother among others, have been interrogated.The CP stated that nurse Feyisayo, who has been denied as a registered nurse, was invited over to treat Mohbad by his friend, Ayobami Sodiq aka Spending, in his house.
He added that the nurse gave Mohbad 3 injections believed to have resulted in reactions that led to his death.
He said, “Mohbad began vomiting and developed goosebumps after the injection.”Owohunwa revealed that the injections consisted of Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone.
If you recall Sam Larry, whose real name is Samson Balogun, was arrested and remains in detention for being complicit in the artiste's death and in relation to viral videos by the deceased about bullying and assault, the police commissioner said.
Likewise, Abdul-Aziz Fashola, aka Naira Marley, was also arrested and is still in detention over similar allegations, Owohunwa also noted.
The police commissioner added that the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains, autopsy, and toxicology test were undertaken on September 21, adding that results of the autopsy and toxicology were being awaited.
