My Target for 2025 is to defeat Tyson Fury....Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua says his target for 2025 is finally facing Tyson Fury in the ring for their all-British heavyweight boxing fight.

Joshua spoke with journalists, days back, after meeting President Bola Tinubu in Lagos.

The 35-year-old Nigerian-British and Fury have been perennial rivals. A fight between them has been scheduled twice, but the plan fell through on both occasions.

“2024, when I look back, I believe I could have done more. 2025, I want to do more and will ensure I use every opportunity,” he said.

“I should have won [against Dubois] but did not. Ups and downs do happen. My life is up and down. So, I get used to the turbulent times and keep riding the wave. I cannot stop there.

“My target for 2025 is Tyson Fury.”

Joshua and Fury are presently without titles. They both lost their belts to Oleksandr Usyk in two years.

Usyk defeated Joshua in 2021 and 2022 to claim the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, and the Ukrainian also defeated Fury twice in 2024 to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in 25 years.

Anthony Joshua, who is currently in Nigeria,is obviously having a good time, connecting with his root. From Sagamu,to Lagos,he's been seen, attending events and parties, during the yuletide and the new year.He was sighted the Governor Dapo Abiodun's new year party,he also visited Abike Dabiri and family, during the yuletide.
