One year after the demise of Oba Haruna Olaoye Abass, the late Beje Roku Oke Agbo,Ijebu Igbo Ogun , at the ripe age of 94 years,
and no sooner than that, astute and grassroots politician and management guru, Prince Stephen Adeleke Adekoya has been officially confirmed as the new Beje Roku. The Bejeroku-Elect who has since commenced the traditional rites of ascension to the throne wrote ‘Royal greetings to every sons and daughters of Oke Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo both at home and in diaspora, government representatives, community leaders, religious bodies and other Traditional Rulers in Akile Ijebu ably led by the Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) S.K Adetona, we appreciate every supports received since the necessary traditional rites of ascension to the throne of Bejeroku of Oke Agbo started.’ The emergence of 59 year-old Prince Stephen Adeleke Adekoya, an astute politician and management guru, who is a product of the Ugbonla Clan of Okemoro Ruling House, came after the Kingmakers unanimously cast all their votes for him in the presence of all and sundry, and the Ijebu North Local Government Transition Committee Secretary, Mr. Adedayo Sanwo, who made the declaration of Prince Stephen Adeleke Adekoya as the next Bejeroku-Elect, to ascend the throne left vacant by the immediate past Bejeroku of Oke-Agbo, Oba Olaoye Haruna Abass, who joined his ancestors on June 25, 2019. The new Bejeroku-Elect, Prince Stephen Adeleke Adekoya started his academic journey at Holy Angels Catholic Pry School in his home town Oke Agbo, he is a Fellow, Chartered Institute of Administration of Nigeria and American Institute of Management with Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Financial Management and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism. He is a proficient administrator, financial expert and consultant per excellence that has shown his high level proficiency while working with several establishments in both public and private sector prior to launching of his firm called Way Forward Limited that specializes on building and road construction. His dedication to service to humanity made him served in several capacities such as Special Assistant to former Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Laiaison Officer to former Ogun State Governor Gbenga Daniel and Caretaker Committee Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government (2011). There is no doubt that the ascending Bejeroku-Elect, Prince Stephen Adeleke Adekoya possesses vast managerial knowledge and influence to take the community through to the next phase of developmental accomplishments with the support of his people.
